Process Mining Analysis & Redesign

Assignment:
- Download the following BPI Challenge event log: https://data.4tu.nl/articles/_/12715853/1
- Import the event log into a Process Mining tool (e.g., Celonis, Apromore, ProM, …)
- Analysis: Identify three issues that you find based on your Process Mining analysis
- Modelling: Model the ideal process with a designated modelling tool (recommended: Signavio; insert screenshot into the document.
- Redesign: Use the Process Redesign Heuristics; for each issue, propose one specific means to improve (1) time and (2) quality. Use each heuristic once.
 You can make assumptions if contextual information is missing.
Scope:
- For the modelling part, your model should have at least 15 elements and at least 1 gateway
- For the analysis part, explain each issue by means of (1) one or more screenshot(s) and
(2) a textual description (around 75-100 words)
- Explain each redesign by specifying what (1) techniques you used, and (2) how the solution could (roughly) look like/change the process model (around 50-75 words each)
- Provide a brief reflection about the main challenges you came across when using Process Mining insights for analysis and redesign (around 150 words)
 When you make assumptions, make them explicit.
