E-Prime Recall Task Development
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m putting together a cognitive psychology experiment that focuses on memory recall and I want it built entirely in E-Prime. The core idea is a classic recall task: participants will view a series of stimuli, experience a brief retention interval, and then reproduce what they remember. I already have the theoretical design mapped out; what I need is a clean, fully-functional E-Prime script that delivers the stimuli, controls timing with millisecond precision, randomises trial order, logs every response variable, and exports data in a tidy format for later SPSS/R analysis.
Your role is to translate the design into an .es3 file, create or import the necessary visual and auditory stimuli, set up practice and experimental blocks, and incorporate any counterbalancing routines so the experiment can run seamlessly in the lab. Clear, commented structure in E-Studio is essential so the research team can tweak parameters without rewriting code.
Deliverables
• Completed E-Prime experiment file (.es3) with all objects, lists, and inline scripts
• Read-me document explaining the experiment flow, variables, and how to modify them
• One short screen-recorded walkthrough (≈2–3 min) demonstrating setup and a test run
Acceptance will be based on: the script running without errors on E-Prime 3.0, accurate stimulus timing verified by E-Prime’s timing report, and data files containing the full set of planned variables.
