Polish My Excel Income Sheet

I’ve built a fairly comprehensive income‐tracking worksheet in Microsoft Excel, but it still feels rough around the edges. Before I start sharing it with clients, I’d like a fresh set of expert eyes to do three things: tighten up the formulas, enhance the look and feel, and make sure the file is truly user-friendly.

Formulas & logic
All calculations should be double-checked for accuracy and efficiency. If you spot places where a more elegant or robust formula makes sense—nested IFs that could become IFS, unnecessary volatile functions, or anything that may slow larger data sets—please refactor and comment briefly on the change so I understand your reasoning.

Visual layout
My priority is a cleaner, more professional appearance. I’m leaning toward a sans-serif look (Arial or Helvetica is perfect) and would like attention paid to font consistency, cell borders, and subtle shading that guides the eye without overwhelming it. Feel free to introduce a restrained color accent if it helps usability, but the core request is cohesive typography and well-defined sections.

Deliverables
• Updated .xlsx file with all formula corrections implemented
• Refreshed layout reflecting the font, border, and shading improvements described above
• A short change log noting any significant adjustments to formulas or structure

Everything should remain fully compatible with current versions of Excel for Windows and macOS, no add-ins or macros required. I’m ready to hand over the existing file as soon as we agree on the approach and timeline.
