Past-Due Invoice Reconciliation

I have a client statement that shows a mix of settled and past-due invoices, along with a separate file that lists every payment we have received to date. Your task is to reconcile the two, isolate any amounts that remain unpaid, and present those open items in a clean, easy-to-read Excel workbook.

Here is the flow I have in mind:

• I will send you the current statement and a payment listing.
• You will cross-reference the two sources, flag every invoice that still carries a balance, and double-check each figure for accuracy.
• The final workbook must clearly show each outstanding invoice, its balance, and any other details you deem essential for quick follow-up action (e.g., due date or customer name). Feel free to add helpful columns or notes if they aid clarity—just keep the layout intuitive.

Everything to date has been tracked outside of accounting software, so you will be working only with the documents I provide and Excel. No QuickBooks, SAP, or other platforms are involved.

Once the spreadsheet is complete, send it back with a short summary of any discrepancies you uncovered and your reconciliation steps so I can verify the work quickly.
