PRISMA Review on Migrant Entrepreneurship

I am preparing a full systematic literature review in sociology that adheres strictly to the latest PRISMA 2020 guidance. The core question is straightforward: how does socioeconomic integration shape outcomes for migrant entrepreneurs? Every element of the workflow—from search string design to the final synthesis—must be documented and reported with PRISMA-generated outputs only.
Scope and sources
The search needs to be run in Google Scholar and JSTOR as primary databases; if you can justify supplementary sources, I am open to hearing why they add value, but the review must remain grounded in those two platforms. Studies outside sociology (e.g., purely psychological or economic treatments) should appear only if they directly inform sociological insights on migrant entrepreneurship.
Deliverables
• PRISMA flow diagram exported from the preferred tool (e.g., Rayyan, Covidence, or a comparable PRISMA-compliant platform).
• Search strategy details, including exact strings and date ranges.
• Eligibility criteria matrix and full-screening log.
• Data-extraction sheet with key variables coded (integration indicators, business outcomes, context, methodology, etc.).
• A 5,000-word narrative synthesis sample that I will treat as a proving assignment before commissioning the complete review.
• Tables of included studies (characteristics, quality appraisal scores).
• Reference list formatted consistently (APA or another standard style—state which you will use).
Acceptance criteria
1. The flow diagram must reconcile precisely with the counts in the screening log.
2. At least two independent quality appraisal tools should be applied where appropriate (e.g., CASP for qualitative, JBI for mixed methods).
3. Citations and quotations must be traceable back to the original PDFs via page numbers or DOIs.
4. No AI-generated content in the synthesis; I will be running checks for originality.
