Osteoarthritis Treatment Meta Analysis
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am preparing a full meta-analysis to quantify and compare the effectiveness of current osteoarthritis treatments. The end goal is a manuscript-ready report I can submit to a peer-reviewed journal, complete with transparent methodology and publication-quality figures.
Scope of work
• Draft a brief protocol (PRISMA-aligned) and register it in PROSPERO before we begin.
• Conduct a comprehensive literature search across MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Library, and any other database you believe will improve coverage.
• Screen studies against predefined inclusion criteria, extract the required outcome data, and assess risk of bias.
• Pool effect sizes using random- or fixed-effects models as appropriate. I am happy for you to work in R (meta/metafor), Stata, or RevMan—just keep the code or log files reproducible.
• Provide forest plots, funnel plots, heterogeneity statistics (I², τ²), and, if data allow, a meta-regression or subgroup analysis.
• Write a concise results and discussion section that situates the findings within current osteoarthritis guidelines and highlights clinical implications.
Acceptance criteria
1. A registered protocol number and the full search strategy.
2. Cleaned data-extraction sheet (CSV or Excel).
3. Annotated analysis script or RevMan file producing identical figures.
4. Draft manuscript (≈3,000 words) with tables and figures ready for journal submission.
