Optimize Excel Data & Model
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
My master workbook feeds several pivot tables and charts that I rely on every week. The underlying sheets now need two things at once: fresh rows added from new sources and a careful pass to correct some historic inconsistencies. Once the data itself is clean, I want the existing model tightened up so it runs faster and is easier to maintain.
Here is what I need you to do:
• Bring in the latest raw files, merge them with the old tables, and fix any duplicate or mis-typed records you spot along the way.
• Rework the current relationships so they follow best-practice star schema principles and eliminate redundant joins.
• Tune performance—smaller file size, quicker refresh, and efficient calculated columns or DAX measures where they make sense.
• Simplify the overall structure so future updates are a drag-and-drop task instead of a rebuild.
• Re-point my existing pivots and charts to the optimized model and verify every metric still matches the original business logic.
• Walk me through the changes live over a desktop-sharing tool so I can replicate the process next time.
