North American Pet Feeding Insights
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run a start-up that designs smart accessories for pets, and we are getting ready to enter the North American and broader European markets. Before refining our positioning and product features, I need first-hand, on-the-ground knowledge from local pet owners—specifically people who live with cats and dogs—to help me understand everyday feeding routines and the reasons behind them.
Your core assignment is twofold:
• Conduct market research with other owners in your city or region, gathering qualitative and quantitative insights on how they feed their cats and dogs (brand choices, portion sizes, treat frequency, tech usage, price sensitivity, etc.).
• Analyse the patterns you uncover, convert them into clear market trends, and outline how those findings should influence a new smart-feeding product line.
If you have experience building concise research frameworks or running comparable pet-care studies, let me know. I am looking for a short yet detailed project proposal that spells out your methodology, timeline, and sampling approach; highlight any previous small-scale consumer studies you have led if relevant.
The final hand-off I expect is a brief report (slides or PDF) that covers: research design, key insights, actionable trends, and recommendations specific to smart feeders or related connected devices.
