I am looking for an experienced telecom researcher / academic writer to collaborate on a publication-ready research paper in the field of mobile communication networks. The paper should be suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal or international conference.
The research domain can focus on one or a combination of the following areas:
5G / 5G-Advanced networks
6G network architecture and use cases
IoT and massive machine-type communications
Open RAN (O-RAN) architecture and performance
Air-to-Ground (A2G) or Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN)
Final topic will be finalized jointly based on novelty and publication potential.
Scope of Work
The selected researcher will be expected to deliver a well-structured, original research paper covering:
A critical literature review highlighting current architectures, standards, and open challenges
Clear identification of research gaps and motivation
A technical contribution (analytical model, architectural proposal, simulation, or performance evaluation)
Comparative analysis against existing 5G / early-6G / baseline approaches
Practical relevance to real-world telecom deployments
The paper should follow standard academic structure:
Abstract
Introduction & problem statement
Literature review
Methodology / proposed framework
Results & discussion
Conclusion & future work
References
Technical Expectations
Strong understanding of mobile core, RAN, latency, reliability, scalability, and network slicing
Familiarity with 3GPP, ETSI, ITU-R standards
Ability to use or explain results using tools such as:
MATLAB
NS-3
OMNeT++
Python-based simulations (if applicable)
Simulations are preferred but not mandatory, provided the analytical contribution is strong.
Collaboration & Authorship
This is a research collaboration, not ghostwriting
The paper should be original, technically defensible, and ethically publishable
Authorship and acknowledgments can be discussed transparently upfront
Ideal Candidate
