I need a single Excel workbook tailored for our mechanical department that can automatically turn raw operational data into clear summary reports. The main purpose is to generate three report types—Monthly Performance, Maintenance Schedule, and Inventory—without extra manual manipulation, because the engineers who will use it have limited time to tinker with formulas.
Here’s what I have in mind:
• One input sheet where engineers can paste or import daily data.
• Backend formulas, pivot tables, or VBA (your call) that clean, sort, and calculate the required metrics.
• Three dedicated report tabs—Performance, Maintenance, Inventory—that update instantly once new data is entered.
Acceptance criteria
• All calculations refresh with a single click or on workbook open.
• Each report prints cleanly to A4, landscape or portrait as appropriate.
• No external add-ins; everything must run in standard Microsoft Excel.
