Marine Maintenance Data Entry Specialist

I need a full-time remote teammate who will keep our fleet’s maintenance records impeccable. The source material you’ll handle is strictly digital—mainly Excel or CSV files coming in from the vessels. Your core routine is two-fold: update the logs we already maintain and design fresh reports that help our engineers spot trends before they become problems.

Day to day, you will:
• Enter, verify, and clean maintenance data for each vessel within 24 hours of receipt
• Build or refine Excel templates—formulas, pivot tables, maybe light VBA—to automate recurring summaries
• Produce a concise weekly status report and a more detailed month-end dashboard that compares planned vs. actual downtime

Acceptance criteria:
• 99.9 % data accuracy (random spot checks)
• Reports delivered on the agreed schedule, formatted in Excel and ready for PDF export
• All formulas and macros documented in a separate README sheet

Fluent conversational English is essential; you’ll chat directly with captains and mechanics when something in the log looks off. An eye for detail is non-negotiable, and a background around marine or mechanical systems will make it much easier for you to recognise anomalies.
