Manufacturing Economic Impact IO Model
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
I need someone to train me on how to build a clear, defensible input-output model that quantifies the economic impact of the manufacturing, construction, and other sectors. I am using IMPLAN and would also appreciate some help understanding the software, if possible. My goal is to understand direct, indirect, and induced effects so that I can present solid evidence to stakeholders about jobs supported, value-added, and multiplier effects across the region.
What I already have:
• Access to IMPLAN and information for the inputs into the models. You don't need to have current access to IMPLAN; I need someone to show me the way.
What I need from you:
1. Show me how to build or refine an input-output model for manufacturing, construction, and other sectors, and between manufacturing and the rest of the economy.
2. Run an economic impact analysis based on the employment data I provide, explaining methodology, multipliers used, and any assumptions you must make to fill data gaps.
3. Help me create a concise report (tables, narrative interpretation, and an executive summary) plus the underlying model files so I can rerun scenarios later.
