Manufacturing Cost Breakdown Spreadsheet
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a clean, reusable spreadsheet that lets me enter material, labour, machine and overhead figures, apply a profit percentage, and instantly see the final unit and batch cost of a manufacturing job. The file should open flawlessly in Excel and Google Sheets.
Here’s what I have in mind:
• Separate, clearly-labelled input sections for material, labour and machine time so totals for each category stay obvious.
• A single field where I can type a profit percentage and have it feed into the grand total automatically.
• Cells or a summary area that show subtotal by category, overall cost, profit amount and final selling price.
I’m still deciding how deep the formulas need to go, so I’d appreciate your recommendations on best-practice calculations—anything from simple SUMs to more advanced per-unit breakouts is welcome as long as it stays easy to tweak later.
Deliver the finished .xlsx file, unlocked and fully editable, plus a brief note explaining how each section works so my in-house team can update it confidently.
