Manual Data Entry From PDFs - 10/11/2025 04:38 EST
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I have a collection of digital files—mostly PDFs and a few scanned images—that need to be keyed in by hand with zero reliance on OCR or automated scraping. Accuracy is critical; any typo or misplaced figure would ripple through the rest of my reporting, so I expect each entry to match the source exactly. Speed matters too because the data feeds a live dashboard updated on a tight schedule, but accuracy will always outrank haste.
You’ll be reading the content on-screen and recreating it manually. Most of it is tabular information (names, dates, numeric values), so experience working inside Excel formulas, basic formatting, and data validation will come in handy. If you’re more comfortable in Google Sheets, that’s fine—I can migrate it later—just let me know up front. Whichever tool you choose, please keep the structure consistent with the source documents so I can pivot or filter the data immediately after delivery.
Deliverable:
• A clean, fully checked spreadsheet that mirrors every field, spelling, and figure in the original PDFs/images, ready for immediate use.
I will run random spot checks against the originals, so an error rate above zero isn’t acceptable. If this sounds straightforward to you and you’re confident in your eye for detail, I’m ready to share the first batch of files right away.
