MATLAB & ANSYS Frequency Response Analysis
Budget: $200 – $300 USD
I am looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to assist with data analysis and figure generation for a structural dynamics and vibrations lab report. I have all the necessary raw data, scripts, and simulation files; I just need someone to process them correctly and extract the results.
Key Responsibilities:
MATLAB Data Processing: Use provided .m scripts and raw .txt experimental data to generate specific engineering figures, including:
Reciprocity/Linearity verification plots.
Force time history and spectra comparisons (Hard vs. Soft hammer tips).
Frequency Response Function (FRF) curve fitting to extract natural frequencies and damping ratios.
Plotting synthesised FRF and normal mode shapes.
ANSYS FEA Analysis: Open a provided ANSYS Workbench archive (steam_turbine_blade.wbpz) and perform a modal analysis to determine the first 10 natural frequencies of a steam turbine blade.
Data Organization: Compile the generated graphs, figures, and extracted numerical data so they are ready to be inserted into a standard Word document report template.
Required Software & Skills:
Proficient in MATLAB (running scripts, interacting with plots, handling matrices).
Experience with ANSYS Workbench (specifically Modal Analysis).
Solid background in Mechanical Vibrations, Modal Testing, and Structural Dynamics.
Provided Materials:
I will provide all raw data files, MATLAB codes, the ANSYS .wbpz file, and the detailed lab instructions upon awarding the project.
