Large Dataset Cleanup & Organization
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m working with a sizeable, mixed-type dataset that currently lives in multiple Excel spreadsheets. I need those sheets merged, cleaned, and organised so the final output is ready for immediate analysis.
Here’s what has to happen:
– Thoroughly inspect each sheet, remove duplicate records, and fix obvious inconsistencies.
– Categorise the data logically, standardising column names and formats so text, numbers, dates, and currency fields stay consistent.
– Deliver the finished dataset as a clearly structured workbook or, if you believe it would be more efficient, in a lightweight SQL database. Either way, the end result must be easy to filter, pivot, and query.
Accuracy is critical, so every transformation step should preserve the integrity of the original information. I’ll provide the raw Excel files; you return the cleaned file(s) plus a concise summary of the procedures you applied so I can audit or replicate them later.
