Laravel Web App Upgrade

Project Title
Upgrade of an existing Laravel web application with scalable data exports, subscription management, user access levels and payment integration.

Project Description
We are seeking a freelance developer to undertake and complete a project involving an existing Laravel-based web application that:
- Performs data analysis.
- Generates Excel files and sends them to users via email.

Currently, the export and email delivery process is executed sequentially, causing significant delays when multiple users submit simultaneous requests. The project aims to:
- Optimize system performance and scalability.
- Transform the application into a commercial product.
- Implement a subscription-based access model.

Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
1. Architecture & Performance Optimization
- Implementation of asynchronous processing (queues / jobs / workers).
- Ability to process ≥ 1,000 concurrent export requests without bottlenecks.
- Reliable and fast email delivery of generated Excel files.
2. Subscription & Access Control
- Design and implementation of subscription tiers (e.g. Basic / Pro / Enterprise).
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Usage limits and feature restrictions per subscription level.
3. Payments & Billing
- Integration with payment gateways (Stripe / PayPal or equivalent).
- Automated billing, renewals, cancellations and access control.
4. Security & Documentation
- Implementation of basic security best practices (authentication, data protection).
- Technical documentation for installation, deployment and maintenance.
5. Deliverables
- Fully functional production-ready application.
- Source code ownership transfer.
- Installation and administration documentation.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with Laravel / PHP.
- Experience with queue systems (Redis, Horizon, RabbitMQ or equivalent).
- Experience building subscription systems and integrating payment gateways.
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture and performance optimization.
- Reliability in delivery and documentation.

Evaluation Criteria
The contract will be awarded based on:
