Hydropower Feasibility Study
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m commissioning a focused feasibility study for a proposed hydropower installation. The core of the assignment is a thorough hydrological analysis built exclusively on the historical rainfall data I will provide.
You’ll be expected to translate that rainfall record into reliable runoff estimations, reservoir yield curves, flow-duration curves, and ultimately an energy-generation profile that can feed into later economic and technical assessments. If you have access to additional datasets—such as river-flow gauging or groundwater levels—feel free to flag how they might refine the results, but they are not mandatory for this phase.
Please deliver:
• A concise methods section outlining software, models, and any statistical techniques used (e.g., HEC-HMS, SWAT, Python/Pandas).
• All calculated hydrological parameters in spreadsheet form.
• A short narrative report (≈10 pages) summarizing assumptions, key findings, data gaps, and recommended next steps.
Accuracy, transparent assumptions, and clearly annotated calculations will be my acceptance criteria. I’m ready to share the rainfall dataset and site coordinates as soon as we agree on milestones.
