Hong Kong Trip Budget Planner
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have a draft Excel workbook that an AI tool generated, but it needs a professional overhaul. I want it to turn into a complete budgeting tool for my October trip to Hong Kong, covering accommodation in hotels, meals, public-transport fares, attractions, and a modest contingency.
Key elements to build or refine:
• Dynamic trip-length calculator: a single cell where I can type the number of travel days and watch every cost line update automatically.
• Dual-currency visibility: every total and sub-total must display in both HKD and NZD, with a live exchange-rate cell I can update myself.
• Clear cost categories: hotels, food, MTR/bus fares, ferries, sightseeing passes, pocket spending, and “just-in-case” buffer.
• Easy expansion: I should be able to add or hide activities without breaking formulas.
Please base your work on my existing sheet (I’ll share it once we start) and keep formulas transparent so I can audit or tweak later. If you have a smarter layout, feel free to suggest it; clarity and reliability matter more than flashy visuals.
When you bid, link or attach at least one previous travel budget you’ve built so I can see your structure and logic. A short note on how you’ll tackle exchange-rate handling and the day-counter will help me choose quickly.
Final deliverable: the polished Excel workbook, ready for me to plug in dates and prices and head off to Hong Kong confident I won’t overspend.
