Healthy Bread Market Feasibility Study

Job ID: 40621422

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I am preparing to open a commercial-scale healthy bread bakery in Inkster, Michigan in our own facility, located at 28440 Reynolds Ave Inkster, MI 48141, with that can efficiently distribute into six priority states—Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Before we lock in equipment or facility plans (it is already equipped with the proper electric and gas needed) I need a rigorous market-oriented feasibility study that answers one core question: “Is there enough profitable demand for our health-focused loaves to justify the investment?”

Your study must center on market analysis only. In practical terms this means:

• Quantify current and projected consumer demand for better-for-you bread across the six-state footprint, breaking results down by the customer demographics.
• Map the competitive landscape—catalog existing regional bakeries, national brands with Midwest reach, private-label players, and any emerging direct-to-consumer or meal-kit entrants competing for the same health-oriented shoppers.
• Surface market trends that matter to us: ingredient transparency, low-glycemic or high-protein positioning, clean label claims, distribution shifts (e-grocery, club stores, food-service), and relevant regulatory or retailer initiatives.

Deliverables I need to see:

1. A concise written report (Word or PDF) synthesizing findings, data sources, assumptions and recommended go- or no-go scenarios.
2. Supporting data tables in Excel, clearly cited.
3. A slide deck summarizing insights for investors and lenders.

Credible primary or secondary data sources—NielsenIQ, IRI, SPINS, USDA, Euromonitor, grocery POS audits, consumer surveys—should back every claim. Please outline your proposed methodology, sample data sets you expect to tap, and the timeframe you will need; my ideal window is four weeks or less.

If you have recent bakery or CPG market research experience in the Midwest, even better. I look forward to reviewing your approach and seeing how you can turn raw numbers into clear strategic direction for our planned facility.

Below is a preliminary list of products that we are planning to produce:
Sprouted Grains & Sourdough: Improved digestibility and lower glycemic index.

Keto & Low-Carb / High-Protein: High-fiber, seed-dense, protein-boosted formulations.

Gluten-Free & Organic: Dedicated allergen-controlled or USDA Organic certified lines.

Clean Label / No Preservatives: Requiring modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) or par-baked frozen supply chains.
