I'm seeking a skilled data analyst to perform descriptive analysis on US healthcare data. The primary goal is to ensure data accuracy for publicly available data from different sources.
About the Role
We’re building a healthcare web application that helps users find and compare hospitals,
providers, and local resources using map-based search. The app uses real-world data about
services, procedures, pricing, insurance coverage, and reviews. As a Data Analyst, you will be
responsible for collecting, cleaning, and organizing this data from open online sources.
Your Responsibilities:
● Pull healthcare-related data from open public sources (e.g., CMS, online datasets, public
directories)
● Collect information on hospitals, providers, procedures, services, and insurance pricing
● Clean and organize large datasets for consistency and accuracy
● Verify and validate addresses and listings using Google Maps
● Match procedures with insurance coverage and price estimates
● Provide clean, structured data to developers and other team members
● Identify and resolve data issues
● Document sources and data-cleaning processes
What You Need
● Hands-on experience with Excel, SQL, and Python
● Ability to work with open/public healthcare data
● Strong data cleaning, validation, and organization skills
● Great attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy
● Basic understanding of Google Maps or Google APIs is a plus
● Experience working with healthcare or insurance data is a bonus
Preferred Qualifications
● Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
● 3+ years of experience in a data analytics or similar role
Ideal skills and experience:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Experience with US healthcare data such as CMS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to visualize data and convey insights effectively
- Using google map APIs to validate the data for mapping, geo - analytics
