HOA Expense Tracking Spreadsheet Update
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I maintain an Excel workbook that tracks every HOA-sponsored class. To capture spending more accurately I now need seven additional columns—some reserved for recurring monthly figures, others for one-off costs—so each class shows its material costs, instructor fees and any miscellaneous outlay the instant they occur.
The job is straightforward but detail-heavy:
• Insert the seven new expense columns in logical order next to the existing class data.
• Distinguish recurring versus one-time costs so totals, subtotals and any year-to-date roll-ups stay transparent.
• Rewrite every dependent formula, summary sheet and chart so nothing breaks once the extra columns are in place.
• Keep all current formatting, data validation and drop-downs intact; extend them where necessary.
When you hand the file back I should be able to open it, enter a new expense in the right column and see every total—from individual class summaries to the master HOA budget—update automatically without errors. If you prefer Power Query, named ranges or structured tables to simplify maintenance, feel free to introduce them as long as the workbook stays compatible with standard desktop Excel (Microsoft 365).
Please let me know how quickly you can turn this around and whether you need a copy of the existing file before starting.
