Specific instructions

The physical habitat quality of the River Hull (West Beck), Driffield Canal and Main Drain will be assessed by using the RAPID software to analyse River Habitat Survey (RHS) data, and biological water quality will be assessed by using the River Invertebrate Classification Tool (RICT) software to analyse invertebrate data. You will produce a write-up of the data using tables and graphs as appropriate and a brief summary of the results in the text. The following elements need to be included:

The Habitat Quality Assessment (HQA) tables for the river, canal and drain (from the “Rapid” [River Habitat Survey] software)
The Habitat Modification Score (HMS) tables for the river, canal and drain (from the “Rapid” [River Habitat Survey] software)
The Average Score Per Taxon (ASPT) for the invertebrates collected from the river, canal and drain
The Number of Scoring Taxa (NTAXA) for the invertebrates collected from the river, canal and drain
The WFD classifications for the river, canal and drain (from the “RICT” [River Invertebrate Classification Tool] software)
