Football Stats Automation & Charts
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have been running my team’s data from a single Excel workbook for seasons now—minutes played, goals, assists, league positions, the lot. What I need is an overhaul that keeps the file familiar yet makes it work for me instead of the other way round.
Top of the agenda is automatic updating of player statistics. As soon as I punch in a match day’s raw figures—minutes, goals, cards—I want formulas or VBA/macros to cascade those updates through every related sheet: cumulative totals, averages, form guides, even appearance milestones. When a new player is added, they should slot straight into the tables without manual tinkering.
Once the data flows automatically, I’d like dynamic charts that reshape themselves on-the-fly. For example, selecting a player from a drop-down should redraw a trend line of their minutes per game; choosing a competition should flip the dashboard to that league’s standings. Slicers, pivot charts, or Power Query—whatever does the job cleanly inside Excel is fine.
Because this is time-sensitive, I’m hoping to move quickly. If you can show past work where you’ve automated sports (or similarly stat-heavy) spreadsheets and built interactive dashboards in Excel, that will help me gauge fit right away.
