Comparable Company Research – Mining Technology Capital Raise
We are an Australian mining technology Innovative Blasting Technoloiges (IBT) company preparing for our next capital raise and are looking for an experienced financial analyst to identify comparable companies and recent funding transactions.
The research should use PitchBook, Crunchbase Pro, Capital IQ or a similar private market database (not just public Google searches).
Scope
Identify the 10–15 most relevant comparable companies globally in sectors such as:
Mining technology
Underground mining technology
Mining software
Industrial automation
Robotics
Surveying & positioning
Industrial sensors
Hardware + SaaS businesses
For each comparable company, provide:
Company name
Short description (1–2 sentences)
Why it is comparable to IBT
Stage (Prototype, Pre-revenue, Early Revenue, Growth, Mature)
Latest funding round
Amount raised
Estimated valuation (where available)
Revenue (or indicate pre-revenue if applicable)
Current status (Private, Public or Acquired)
Exit valuation (if acquired, where available)
Source (PitchBook, Crunchbase, etc.)
Deliverables
Excel spreadsheet containing the comparable companies.
A ranked list of the most relevant comparables.
A one-page summary highlighting funding trends, valuation ranges and notable acquisitions.
