I have an Excel workbook that needs to be turned into clear, actionable insights. The raw figures are already in place; what I require now is a thorough data analysis directly inside Excel—no external databases or CSV imports involved.
Your task is to explore the dataset, build meaningful pivot tables, and surface trends, outliers, and key metrics I can share with stakeholders. Along the way, please apply appropriate formulas, conditional formatting, and charts whenever they help tell the story behind the numbers.
Deliverables
• At least three pivot-table views that summarise the core metrics from different angles (e.g., by date, category, and region).
• A short written summary (one page max) highlighting the main findings, patterns, and any anomalies worth attention.
• The updated workbook, fully editable, with all calculations and visual elements intact and clearly labelled.
Acceptance criteria
• All calculations must reconcile with the original figures—no rounding errors.
• Pivot tables should refresh correctly with a single “Refresh All”.
• Explanations in the summary must reference the exact sheet or pivot, so I can trace every insight back to its source.
If you use Power Query, slicers, or advanced functions such as XLOOKUP or dynamic arrays, keep them transparent so I can follow the logic later.
