Excel Workbook Setup, Analysis and Visualization - 09/02/2026 15:50 EST

Job ID: 40217873

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I have a multi-sheet Excel project that starts with a plain text file and ends with dynamic dashboards. I need you to take the raw content, import it, and turn it into a fully structured, well-formatted workbook that is ready for executive review.

Here is the flow I follow every month and want automated or documented so anyone can repeat it:

• Open the starter workbook, rename it to the current reporting period, and save it to the network location I will supply.
• Import the supplied text file then convert it into a properly sized Excel table.
• Apply my preset formatting rules—this includes conditional formatting for key metrics, custom number formats for currency and percentages, plus the cell styles and theme colors that match our brand guidelines.
• Duplicate the main data sheet, rename the new tab “Archive”, and protect the original from edits.
• Sort and filter the table so team leads can quickly isolate their regions.
• Build a PivotTable and an accompanying PivotChart that summarise performance by product and territory.
• Add and polish chart elements (titles, axis labels, legends, data labels) then resize and position the objects so they sit neatly beside the table.
• Create a separate chart sheet with a sunburst chart that visualises our hierarchy.
• Define a named range for the cost centre list.
• Use XLOOKUP to pull budget figures into the main table.
• Add a formula with multiple mathematical operators to calculate contribution margin, then wrap the logic in a SUMPRODUCT formula for overall totals.
• Finally, update document properties, set print titles and page setup options (orientation, scaling, headers/footers) so the file prints cleanly.

Acceptance criteria
– Every task above is demonstrably completed in the delivered workbook.
– No broken formulas or pivot references when I refresh the data source.
– Formatting exactly matches the colour palette and styles I provide.
– Workbook opens without security warnings or missing links.

I’m working with mixed data—text, dates, currency, and percentages—so accuracy in data types is crucial. If you prefer VBA or Power Query for any step, mention it in your bid; I’m open to efficiency improvements as long as the end result remains user-friendly for non-technical staff.

Deliver the finished .xlsx file plus a short “how-to” note (Word or PDF) outlining the steps you took.
