Excel Vendor Data Merge
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I have two spreadsheets—“Vendor Master Data” and “Vendor Contacts”—that need to be merged into a single, clean file. The tricky part is that many company names are spelled slightly differently between the two sources (but they are easily recognisable which company refers to which), so a simple VLOOKUP falls short.
I’d like you to tackle the match using a blend of fuzzy-matching functions and hands-on cleanup. I don’t have a fixed tool in mind for the automated pass, so feel free to choose the approach you trust most. After the function/algoritham does its work, I expect a manual review to catch anything the software misses.
You’ll see 10–12 sample rows already formatted exactly how I want the final output to look in 'Vendor Master Data' spreadsheet; use these as your template. When you return the finished file, every vendor should appear once, with the relevant contact info correctly aligned in the same row.
