Excel Transport Database & Reports
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a single, well-structured Excel workbook that functions as our transportation company’s central database. It must let me enter—and later retrieve—client information, transport schedules, financial figures, truck, trailer and driver details, maintenance dates, vendor profiles and parts inventories. All data should remain historically accessible so I can spot trends over time.
The workbook has to deliver three core outputs: a clean financial report, a maintenance-due report and a driver performance report. Each report should refresh automatically from the live data and remain ready for export to Power BI, where I will build additional dashboards. Please include a simple way to pull in our weekly fuel download files so they flow straight into the same data model.
I am comfortable in Excel but not in writing complex formulas, so the solution should rely on clearly named tables, dropdowns and, where suitable, Power Query or Power Pivot rather than hidden macros. If macros are unavoidable, keep them short, documented and button-driven.
Deliverable:
• An unlocked Excel file containing the data entry interface, underlying tables and three refreshable report views ready for Power BI connection.
