Excel Sales Data Analysis

I’m handing over a raw Excel file packed with transaction-level sales entries and I need it transformed into a workbook that tells the story of our sales performance the moment I open it. The scope is tightly focused on sales data only, with one main question in mind: how are our sales trending over time on a quarterly basis?

Please build the analysis entirely inside Excel using familiar tools—cleaned data tables, PivotTables, slicers if they help navigation, and clear line or column charts. Keep the design straightforward and readable; default Office colours are fine as long as the quarterly shifts and any seasonality leap off the page.

Deliverables
• A “Data_Clean” sheet containing the original data tidied up (no blank rows, consistent types, dates recognised by Excel).
• A “Pivot_Analysis” sheet with the core PivotTable summarising quarterly sales.
• At least two charts linked to the pivot (e.g., a line chart for total revenue by quarter and a column chart for quarter-over-quarter change).
• A one-page “Insights” sheet highlighting key takeaways in plain language so I can share screenshots directly with management.

I consider the work complete when I can filter or refresh the pivot in one click, see each quarter’s numbers update in the charts immediately, and read your short narrative summary of what the trends mean for us.
