Excel Payroll Data Accuracy Audit -- 2
Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR
I have several W-2 payroll workbooks that need a thorough, Excel-based accuracy check. The whole exercise revolves around Excel, so every fix, calculation, and summary must stay inside the application.
Your mission is to confirm that gross wages, taxes, deductions, and net pay add up perfectly, and that any rogue numbers are called out. Pivot tables and conditional formatting are the preferred tools, and you can supplement them with lookups or other native functions whenever they make the job faster or clearer.
What I need you to do:
• Recalculate totals, repair faulty formulas, and eliminate duplicate entries without erasing useful history.
• Flag every inconsistent value so I can review borderline cases quickly.
• Produce a clear summary of issues found, actions taken, and the final status of each worksheet.
Deliverables
1. A cleaned, fully reconciled master workbook.
2. A separate tab that lists each inconsistent value you flagged and how it was resolved.
3. A concise summary report (Excel or PDF) that documents your entire audit.
Acceptance criteria
– No broken links or #REF! errors.
– All payroll totals reconcile 100 %.
– Every inconsistent value is either corrected or clearly marked for manual confirmation.
If you enjoy detective work inside Excel and can prove data down to the last cent, I’m ready to get started.
