Excel Numerical Data Cleanup

I’m sitting on a few spreadsheets filled with raw numbers that need to be turned into a clean, analysis-ready workbook. Everything lives in Microsoft Excel, so all cleaning and re-formatting must happen there—no exporting to other tools.

Here’s what I need:
• Strip out duplicates, stray characters, and blank rows.
• Standardise number formats (decimal points, currency symbols, thousand separators) so every column reads consistently.
• Re-calculate or flag totals where formulas were broken during data collection.
• Hand back a single, well-structured .xlsx file plus a short “change log” sheet noting the main fixes.

I’ll provide the original file as soon as we start. If you’re comfortable using Excel functions such as Power Query, data validation, conditional formatting, and text-to-columns tricks to whip messy numbers into shape, this task will be straightforward and quick.
