Excel Expense & Profit-Share Tracker
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I need a clean, easy-to-maintain Microsoft Excel workbook that tracks our business expenses and automatically splits net profit between two partners according to adjustable ownership percentages.
Core data points for every expense must include the date of expense, type of expense, amount spent, and the category it falls under (e.g., marketing, supplies, travel). From there, the sheet should roll those figures into a monthly and year-to-date summary, subtract them from revenue, and then calculate each partner’s share of the remaining profit in real time. A simple input cell for each partner’s percentage is essential so we can update ownership stakes if they ever change.
Deliverables
• One unlocked Excel file with clearly labeled input sections, expense log, summary dashboard, and automated profit-sharing outputs
• Built-in formulas (no external macros) that recalculate partner payouts instantly as new rows are added
• Light formatting for readability—filters, alternating row colors, and a couple of at-a-glance totals or charts are welcome
I’ll provide sample revenue figures once we start; you can mock up the sheet with placeholder data first if that helps. Let me know if you foresee any edge cases I should consider, and share a brief note on similar trackers you’ve built so I know we’re on the same page.
