Excel Data Format Standardization

I’m looking for a detail-oriented Excel specialist to bring a set of raw spreadsheets into a single, clean, consistently formatted file. The core need is straightforward: every column, date, number, and text field must follow the same structure so the data can feed directly into our reporting templates without manual tweaks.

Here’s what you’ll actually be doing:
• Standardise all data formats (dates, currency, percentages, phone numbers, etc.).
• Align headers and convert any free-text or mixed-type columns into their proper data types.
• Preserve every record exactly as-is—no loss, no duplicates introduced, no accidental edits.

To make sure we’re on the same page, I’ll send over a small sample sheet first. Tackle that, return the cleaned version, and if everything matches the reference guidelines, we’ll roll straight into the full file.

Deliverables
1. Cleaned, fully standardised Excel workbook (.xlsx).
2. A short change log noting any edge cases or assumptions you had to resolve.

Acceptance criteria
– 100 % of cells comply with the specified formats.
– File opens with zero Excel validation errors or warnings.
– Source row count matches the final row count exactly.

If you work comfortably with built-in Excel tools (Power Query, Text-to-Columns, custom formulas, etc.) that’s perfect, though you’re free to use any method as long as the result is flawless. I’m online throughout the day and can answer questions quickly, so we can iterate fast.
