Excel Data Cleaning & Formatting
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I’m working with an Excel file that is mostly textual data, and it needs a thorough clean-up before any meaningful analysis can happen. The raw sheet currently suffers from inconsistent spacing, mis-alignment, random capitalization, and the inevitable duplicates and empty rows that slipped in during collection.
Here’s what I need done:
• Go through every row and column, standardize spacing and alignment so each cell lines up neatly.
• Fix capitalization so headers, names, and any other text follow a consistent style.
• Identify and remove duplicates or entirely blank rows while keeping data integrity intact.
• Insert clear, descriptive headers and reorganize the columns into a custom arrangement I’ll outline once the project begins—think of it as grouping related fields together for quick filter and sort operations.
• Double-check that all remaining entries are accurate, properly formatted, and ready for pivot tables, filters, or any downstream analysis I might throw at them.
I’ll supply the file and a short guide for the custom column order. When you return the sheet, I should be able to open it, apply a filter, and immediately see a clean, readable dataset with no surprises.
