Excel Data Cleaning & Deduplication

I have several Excel spreadsheets that need a careful round of data validation and cleaning, with the main priority being the removal of duplicate entries. The files arrive from different team members each week, so the column structures are consistent but the content isn’t always.

Here’s what I need from you:
• Load each workbook and identify every duplicate record—whether the row is an exact match or a partial duplicate across key columns I’ll specify.
• Resolve the duplicates by keeping the most complete or most recent row, according to simple rules we’ll agree on before you start.
• Return the cleaned file in its original structure, accompanied by a brief change log (date, sheet name, row numbers removed or merged) so I can audit the work quickly.

If you have experience using Excel’s advanced filtering, Power Query, or VBA for automated deduplication, that’s a plus—I’m open to whichever method gets the job done accurately and leaves a transparent trail. Accuracy is paramount; even a single missed duplicate can affect our downstream reporting.
