Excel Data Analysis Assignment
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m preparing a graded Excel assignment that must be completed in one pass—there’s no opportunity to revise after submission—so every cell has to be right the first time. All work must rely strictly on the formulas covered in class: SUM, AVERAGE, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, IF, and COUNTIF.
Your job is to take the raw spreadsheet I provide, organize the data cleanly, and build out the required calculations and analysis. That means entering or restructuring information where needed, then using the approved functions to generate totals, averages, look-ups, and conditional counts that satisfy each task prompt. Charts aren’t part of the brief; accuracy in the data entry and analytical results is what will be evaluated.
Deliverable: a single Excel workbook containing my fully completed tasks, with every result driven by the permitted formulas (no hard-coded figures where a formula is expected). I’ll verify by tracing each formula, so clarity and consistent cell references matter.
If everything calculates flawlessly on first review, the assignment is complete.
Competency Check #5: Performing HR Tasks in Excel Using Workforce Now Data
Instructions: This competency check assignment evaluates your ability to manage HR
data exported from Workforce Now. You will be asked to use Microsoft Excel to perform
basic HR tasks and analyses.
Please complete the following tasks using the corresponding CC5 – Performing HR
Tasks in Excel Dataset. Remember that you are evaluated on both (a) the accuracy of
your work and (b) your ability to apply formulas and shortcuts to automate tasks. Please
make sure your formulas are visible so your work can be appropriately evaluated.
About the Workforce Now Dataset: The workbook includes multiple worksheets. The
sheet labeled 0. Raw Data contains a complete dataset extracted from ADP Workforce
Now. This sheet is intended as a backup and quality check. The other worksheets
correspond to a set of instructions from this document. So, to complete the section in
the document below (1. Employee Mailing List), you’ll use the worksheet labeled 1…. Etc .
