I have two separate workbooks that hold customer information, and I need them to talk to each other reliably. Your task is to set up the formula-driven links—using VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP or an INDEX-MATCH approach—so that every time I refresh the files the right customer records flow through automatically.
The link hinges on one key field: the serial column. As long as that column matches between files, the rest of the customer details should populate without manual copy-paste. I only plan to refresh the numbers once every quarter, so efficiency matters more than real-time speed; clean, maintainable formulas (and named ranges if helpful) will be perfect.
