Excel Contract Budget Monitoring Report

I manage several contracts and need a single Excel workbook that lets me see, at a glance, each contract’s total value, its payment milestones, and the remaining balance—updated daily. I’m the one using the file, so clarity and speed matter more than flashy graphics.

Here’s what I picture: a clean data-entry tab where I can paste or type contract amounts and milestone dates, plus a dashboard that automatically rolls those figures up into a concise status view with conditional-format traffic lights and a simple chart or two. When I open the file each morning, I should only have to add any new payments and watch the numbers refresh—no digging into formulas.

Deliverables
• One unlocked .xlsx workbook containing:
– Data sheet for contract amounts and milestones
– Dynamic dashboard summarizing balances and milestone progress
– Built-in formulas and conditional formatting for automatic daily updates
• A short read-me sheet (or Loom video) that shows me how to add contracts, log payments, and refresh the view

Acceptance is straightforward: if I can add a new contract, record a payment, press refresh, and immediately see accurate totals and milestone status without touching a formula, the job is done.
