Job Title:
Event Mapping & Categorization Analyst (Data & Taxonomy Focus)
Objective:
To analyze, organize, and restructure a large event-related dataset by developing a comprehensive taxonomy that enhances the platform’s usability for clients seeking vendors or professionals. The goal is to simplify and clarify how event services are presented, ensuring users can easily understand and navigate offerings when planning events.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Exploration & Organization
Analyze and restructure existing datasets, including:
Services
Main Categories
Events
Descriptions for Services and Categories
Work with approximately 136+ distinct event types to improve structure and usability.
Identify redundancies, overlaps, and inconsistencies; streamline the data accordingly.
Utilize tools such as ChatGPT, Manus, or similar AI solutions to support efficient reorganization and description creation.
2. Taxonomy Development & Refinement
Develop and refine a structured taxonomy for:
Services
Services (Descriptions)
Main Categories
Main Categories (Descriptions)
Events
Reduce and improve category/service groupings by:
Combining or consolidating similar items.
Separating distinctly different offerings.
Removing duplicates or items with the same meaning.
Relabeling for clarity using proper and professional English.
3. Description Writing (Client-Facing Focus)
Write or gather clear, concise, and helpful descriptions for each Service and Main Category.
Descriptions must explain the purpose of each service/category from the client’s perspective, assuming they are planning an event and hiring a paid vendor or professional.
Ensure language is user-friendly and informative, aiding client decision-making.
4. Event Concept Interpretation & Categorization
Accurately interpret and group events in a meaningful and logical manner.
Align event mapping with the platform’s purpose and categorization system.
Avoid vague, redundant, or irrelevant classifications.
5. Data Maintenance & Weekly Reporting
Perform repetitive yet essential tasks like cleanup, editing, relabeling, and organization.
All work must be maintained in Google Sheets, with clean version control and transparency.
Submit daily updates and weekly progress reports, highlighting:
What has been completed
Milestones reached
Roadblocks encountered
Project Scope & Timeline:
This is a week-to-week project, expected to be completed in 2 weeks.
Goal: Show at least 50% progress by the end of Week 1, and completion by the end of Week 2.
The project is performance-based. Each week must result in measurable, satisfactory progress as determined by the project owner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in:
Data analysis
Taxonomy structuring
Information architecture
Skilled in writing client-facing service descriptions.
Ability to manage and restructure large, complex datasets effectively.
Proficiency with Google Sheets.
Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Manus.
Strong written communication skills with attention to clarity, grammar, and accuracy.

Deliverables must meet expectations and be at least 50% completed by the end of Week 1, with final completion and quality review by end of Week 2.
If expectations are not met, you acknowledge in advance that payment will not be made for that week’s work.
