Electrical BOQ Specification Extraction

I have an Excel-based Bill of Quantities that mixes civil, mechanical and electrical lines together. I need every electrical line item isolated, its full technical specification captured exactly as it appears, and the results regrouped in a clean worksheet where rows are organised by item type (cables with cables, breakers with breakers, fixtures with fixtures, etc.). The source file is already in Excel, so you’re free to rely on formulas, filters, Power Query or VBA—whatever gets the job done accurately.
Please return:
• A new Excel file (or additional tab) containing only electrical items, one row per part.
• Columns for item code/description, the full technical specification, quantity and any other fields that were originally attached to the line.
• Items arranged under logical type headers so I can instantly navigate to, say, “Switchgear” or “Lighting.”
Accuracy is critical; I will cross-check your sheet against the original BOQ to be sure no electrical items were missed and no specs were altered. If something in the source is ambiguous, flag it in a comments column rather than guessing.
That’s the scope—once the cleaned-up file is delivered and verified, the task is complete.
