Development of a Sales Forecasting Model using Prophet and Performance Analysis

We are seeking an experienced freelancer to develop a sales forecasting solution using Meta's Prophet model. The project involves creating Python code—or an application—that can be executed on a monthly basis to generate new sales forecasts. The available dataset contains historical sales information for various products from a manufacturer, detailed month-by-month over the course of several years.
The main objectives of the project include:
- Implementing the Prophet model to forecast future sales based on the provided historical data.
- Developing a robust and user-friendly Python script—or application—that enables the monthly updating of forecasts.
- Including a feature to compare the performance of forecasts generated by the Prophet model against manual forecasts provided by sales representatives (manual input). This comparison is crucial for evaluating the accuracy of both methods and identifying which one offers greater precision.
We expect a solution that is efficient, scalable, and provides clear insights into future sales performance and the effectiveness of the different forecasting methods. The freelancer must possess strong proficiency in Python and data modeling, as well as experience with machine learning libraries—specifically Prophet.
