I have an existing Excel workbook filled with numerical data and I need a clear statistical snapshot of it. The task is focused on classic descriptive statistics—specifically, calculating the mean, median and mode for each relevant column or data group in the sheet.
Here’s the workflow I have in mind: download the file I’ll provide, confirm the numeric ranges that should be analysed, then use built-in Excel functions (AVERAGE, MEDIAN, MODE or MODE.SNGL/MODE.MULT as appropriate) or pivot tables to generate the results. Present the summary in a neatly formatted tab, so anyone opening the file can see the figures at a glance without hunting for formulas.
Deliverables
• My original workbook returned with all formulas inserted or, if you prefer, a separate summary sheet linked to the source data.
