Debt Reduction Budget Strategy
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m currently unemployed and the weight of personal debt keeps growing. To turn things around, I need a clear, actionable plan that shows exactly how to budget whatever income I receive, prioritise payments, and steadily eliminate every outstanding balance.
Here’s what I’m expecting from you:
• A concise snapshot of my current debt position once I provide the figures—principal, rates, minimums and due dates.
• A month-by-month repayment roadmap (snowball, avalanche, or a hybrid—whichever gets me debt-free fastest with the least interest paid).
• A realistic zero-based budget template I can adjust as my income changes, with recommended spending caps for essentials, savings buffers, and emergency allocations.
• Practical tips on reducing expenses and boosting income during unemployment, plus a checklist I can revisit weekly to stay on track.
I’m comfortable working in Google Sheets or Excel, so make the plan easy to update there. If you prefer specialised tools such as YNAB, MoneyWiz or Mint, note that as well; I’m open to anything that keeps the process simple and transparent.
Once I receive the file and walkthrough, I’ll review it against my numbers and confirm it fits both my cash-flow reality and my goal of wiping out debt entirely.
