Data Analyst for Product Data Extraction

Job ID: 39706122

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Budget: $30–$280 USD (per script/milestone) • Commitment: part-time • Timezone: overlap with Europe/London preferred

About the role
A startup is hiring a part-time Data Analyst to extract and structure product data from an approved website list into a fixed CSV schema. This is scraping-first (collection & formatting). Verification/dedupe is handled internally.

Responsibilities

Build/run lightweight scraping tasks (Python: BeautifulSoup/Scrapy/Requests/Playwright/Selenium, or no-code tools).

Extract product fields (brand, barcode, ingredients, usage, images, reviews/metadata).

Deliver clean CSV/Sheets to our exact header (keep column order; blanks are OK if data isn’t present).

Handle pagination/infinite scroll, basic anti-bot/CAPTCHA workarounds, and logging.

Maintain a simple run log and flag blockers early.

Throughput (part-time)

Target: 3–5 working scripts/week (mix of simple + JS-heavy).

In heavy-JS weeks, 2–3 solid scripts is acceptable.

Requirements

4–10 years total experience.

Strong Python scraping (BeautifulSoup/Scrapy/Requests; Playwright/Selenium a plus) or proven no-code scraping chops.

Data cleaning/normalization; Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.

Comfort with cloud storage and basic versioning (Git nice-to-have).

Clear communication and reliable async workflow.

Deliverables per script

Source code (or project file) + brief README (how to run).

Sample CSV (≈200+ rows if available) mapped to our header.

Primary source URL in Source column; backups noted in Notes.

Evidence links for barcode/label images when present.

How to apply
Send: (1) a short note on your scraping experience/tools, (2) a sample CSV or repo, (3) your timezone & weekly availability, (4) your preferred pricing (per script or per 100 rows) within $30–$280, and (5) earliest start date.
