I need someone who can step in every business day to keep my finance-related data running smoothly in Microsoft Excel—Google Sheets is not an option for this workflow. The work is a mix of data entry, deeper data analysis, and producing automated reports that update themselves once the underlying numbers change. Much of what you’ll handle comes from transaction records and other financial datasets that first need thorough cleaning and sound data management before we shape them into dashboards for decision-making.

You should already feel comfortable with core Excel functions, lookups, PivotTables, Power Query or Power Pivot, and basic VBA or Office Scripts for automation. Familiarity with building clear, visually effective dashboards (charts, slicers, conditional formatting) is important, as management relies on these views daily.

Typical daily deliverables include:
• Importing or copying raw finance data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Cleaning and structuring data so it’s analysis-ready
• Updating or creating pivot-based dashboards and summary sheets
• Automating repetitive steps so next-day refreshes run with minimal clicks
