Corrupted Excel File Recovery
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
My primary Excel workbook (and the only backup I have) refuses to open—both files appear to be corrupted, so I cannot even preview the data. I need someone experienced with file-level recovery techniques for .xlsx and Apple Numbers documents who can:
• Repair or re-build the file so it opens normally in Excel (or Numbers)
• Preserve all original sheets, formulas, and formatting as closely as possible
• Return a clean, working version or, at minimum, extract all raw data into a new spreadsheet
You may use any specialist tools—Hex editors, VBA tricks, Power Query, or third-party recovery utilities—as long as the end result is a fully accessible file. Please outline your intended approach and any limitations you foresee. A quick turnaround is important, but data integrity is the top priority; partial extractions are acceptable only if a full repair proves impossible.
When you deliver, I will test the file by opening it in the most recent versions of Excel for macOS and Windows to confirm everything loads without errors.
