Compile Excel Data into Word Manual
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I have several detailed Excel worksheet's that collectively describe our technical data. What I need now is a single, polished Word document that serves as our definitive specifications manual. All the raw numbers, tables, and notes are already captured in the spreadsheets; your task is to translate and structure that information into accurate and visually consistent sections that match the template I will provide.
The Manual size is 2 x 90 pages each.
Here’s how I see the workflow working:
• Review each sheet to understand the data context and locate any cross-references.
• Transfer the content into the Word template, keeping the existing heading hierarchy, page layout, and styles intact.
• Re-create key tables or charts directly in Word so they remain editable (no screenshots).
• Insert automated elements—table of contents, figure/table lists, and consistent headers/footers—so updates stay effortless.
• Perform a light consistency check: flag any values or units that look out of place; I’ll confirm or correct them.
Acceptance criteria
• The final document opens in Word without missing styles, broken links, or formatting drift.
• Each required section is present, numbered, and populated with the corresponding data from the Excel sources.
• Tables, figures, and cross-references update automatically with a single F9 refresh.
• File delivered in .docx format plus any linked objects or assets.
If you’re comfortable navigating complex Excel files and enjoy crafting clean, professional manuals in Word, I’d love to get this project moving.
