E-Commerce Order Data: From Messy Export to Interactive Excel Table
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
A complete data cleaning project on a real-world e-commerce sales dataset — 600+ order records that came in with inconsistent formatting, missing values, and duplicate entries.
What I did:
Audited the raw file and flagged every formatting inconsistency and error
Ran a duplicate check — found and removed 101 duplicate entries, leaving 500 verified, unique records
Standardized formatting across the sheet: dates, currency, column widths, and headers
Converted the cleaned data into a structured Excel Table with a Category Slicer for one-click, interactive filtering
Result: The dataset went from unreliable and hard to read to clean, consistent, and genuinely usable — the kind a client can open, trust, and start filtering immediately, with zero explanation needed.
This is the exact process I follow on every Excel data cleaning project I take on: clean first, structure second, make it usable third.
