Clinic P&L Normalisation Analysis
Budget: $80 – $100 AUD
All the below is AI but its kind of right. Im buying medical clinics and need someone to do the first pass analysis.
Normalise P&L
Review valuation survey answers and information gaps
Fill in investment template document
You need to thoroughly understand P&Ls and have some M&A experience is helpful
I have several years of monthly Profit & Loss statements from a group of small medical clinics that have been acquired at different times. Because each clinic used its own chart of accounts, carried owner-specific perks, and booked one-off deal costs, the numbers are hard to compare. I need those P&Ls cleaned up, re-mapped into a common structure, and fully normalised so that the real operating performance of each location is clear.
The primary focus is normalising for acquisitions: strip out transaction expenses, convert owner salaries and rent to market rates, flag any other non-recurring items, and show the adjusted figures side-by-side. While doing so, please highlight revenue trends, expense categorisation, and profit margins for each clinic, then roll everything into a consolidated view suitable for an investment analysis deck.
Deliverables
• An Excel (or Google Sheets) workbook with:
– Original figures, clearly referenced
– Adjustment lines with notes for every normalisation entry
– Normalised income statements and a summary dashboard showing revenue CAGR, cost structure breakdown, EBITDA and margin trends
• A short memo (Word/PDF) explaining assumptions, data issues spotted, and key findings.
Acceptance criteria: every adjusted total must reconcile back to the source P&L; formulas remain transparent and editable; commentary is concise and ties directly to the numbers.
If you already know healthcare or clinic-specific KPIs (chair time, practitioner utilisation, cost per consult) that’s a plus, but solid financial analysis skills and the ability to deliver a clean, investor-ready model are what counts.
